Hand-crafted coffee, scratch-made breakfast and lunch, and a seat in our living room. Family-owned for over 20 years, and rebuilt by this community after Hurricane Helene.
You donated. You volunteered. You shared our story. And when the day finally came to reopen our doors, you showed up. We're still paying down the rebuild loan, and every dollar donated goes straight toward it.
David and Tricia started DT's to share their love of a great caramel latte and make a place where community could thrive. Today their daughter Taylor carries it on, with a crew that's been with us for years and Grandma's secret-recipe egg salad still on the menu.
"We can't wait to serve you and get to know you by name!"

Our good friend Stephanie founded the Rebuilding Hollers Foundation and has helped coordinate hundreds of recovery projects across Yancey and Mitchell Counties. Her first book is the true story of a mountain community that refused to give up after Helene: neighbors rebuilding homes, small businesses, farms and churches, one miracle at a time.
"Even in our darkest times, miracles are possible."
