Help Us Rebuild: Support DT's Blue Ridge Java After Hurricane Helene

Dear Friends, Neighbors, and Supporters,

As many of you know, our beloved coffee shop and cafe, a staple in downtown Spruce Pine for the past 20 years, was tragically destroyed by the devastating floodwaters from Hurricane Helene. In an instant, 10 feet of rushing water tore through our space, taking with it not only the heart and soul of our business, but also the community hub we have worked so hard to build and nurture.

This cafe has always been more than just a place to grab a cup of coffee; it has been a home for friendship, connection, and love. For 20 years, we’ve poured our hearts into serving you—our loyal customers, friends, and neighbors—and it’s been an honor to be a part of your lives. The loss we feel is deep, not only for the business we’ve built, but for the community that has embraced us so warmly over the years.

But We Won’t Give Up.

While the floodwaters may have taken our physical space, they cannot take away the spirit of what we’ve built together. We are committed to rebuilding, to returning to our original location in downtown Spruce Pine, and to welcoming you all back through our doors stronger than ever before. But we cannot do this alone.

We are reaching out to you—the people who have supported us, laughed with us, and shared countless memories with us—to ask for your help in making our dream of rebuilding a reality.

How You Can Help

We have launched this donation campaign to raise the critical funds needed to restore our coffee shop and cafe. Your support will go directly toward rebuilding our space, replacing the equipment, and ensuring that we can continue to serve our community just as we always have. Every contribution, no matter the size, will make a meaningful difference.

Here’s how you can get involved:

  • Donate: Your donation will help us get back on our feet faster. Whether it's $5 or $500, every dollar counts.

  • Spread the Word: Share this campaign with your friends and family. The more people who know about our efforts, the closer we get to our goal.

  • Support Local: Once we are back up and running, come visit us again! Your continued support in the future is just as vital as your support today. Visit us at DT's Jr. Java and Shop our store online!

What Your Donation Will Help Fund:

  • Restoring the building: Repairing the damage caused by the floodwaters.

  • Replacing equipment: From coffee machines to kitchen appliances, your donation will help us replace what was lost.

  • Reopening the cafe: Funds will help us ensure we’re ready to serve you as soon as possible!

We are beyond grateful for the outpouring of love and support we’ve already received. The road to rebuilding is no easy journey, but with your continued support, we are confident that we will return stronger and more dedicated than ever. Together, we can rebuild this place that means so much to all of us. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for your kindness, generosity, and unwavering support. We can’t wait to welcome you back to DT's Blue Ridge Java in downtown Spruce Pine very soon!

With love and gratitude,

The DT's Blue Ridge Java Family
